Thank you Tom. I used the jacket this weekend. I have not done a lot searches in a residential neighborhoods. When I have I got a lot of angry people yelling at me if my gps had me of course and In a yard I didn’t have permission for. I can completely understand that. If some one came walking across more property I might be upset as well. In a park or large wooded area you don’t get those conflicts so I tend to choose those lost dog settings. A friend asked me to do a search in a neighborhood setting this weekend. While my dog is a certified working dog trained in tracking I am a volunteer not a professional. I certainly do not want to project a local law enforcement look but just an orange jacket with search K9 on the back made my day a world easier. People actually stopped me and said if I needed to search their prop I could and they would put pets away and give me full access. So I was warm, comfortable, visible and something I didn’t expect, supported instead of being yelled at 🙂 as we searched. My dog has saved the lives of several lost pets, often days or weeks after they went missing. Sadly I did not find the dog but I reported to the owner I tracked a scent trail to the neighbor house. The neighbor confirmed the dog was there but left. This was a 4 day old search and heavy rain dispersed the scent to a point I could no longer ground track. Very, very happy with the jacket.
